The O'Donoghue Jewels

In March 2012, Lodge 77 were delighted to take into their possession a pair of Past Master jewels belonging to father and son, William Bell O'Donoghue and D. Rory O'Donoghue. W. B. O'Donoghue joined Lodge 77 in 1919 having served, and been wounded, in the Great War. He is listed on the Lodge's World War One Roll of Honour. He served as Worshipful Master in 1928 and this is his Past Master jewel.

D. R. O'Donoghue joined Francis Crossle Lodge 83 and affiliated to Lodge 77, his father's Lodge, in 1975. He served as Worshipful Master of Lodge 83 in 1959 and again in 1990. His Past Master jewel has an additional bar to reflect this.

Lodge 77 are grateful to a private collector who ensured the jewels were returned to their rightful home.
